Unfolding in a dance that never ends,<\/span><\/p>\n

Beneath the sun’s indifferent gaze,<\/span><\/p>\n

Depression casts its lengthy shadow,<\/span><\/p>\n

A companion silent, ever shallow<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Waking to the dawn’s cold light,<\/span><\/p>\n

Bringing no reprieve from night,<\/span><\/p>\n

Cada breath, cada paso, and eternity,<\/span><\/p>\n

Forgotten happiness, lost the smile\u2019s purity<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Voices murmur, “Just be strong,”<\/span><\/p>\n

Pero en la neblina, all feels wrong<\/span><\/p>\n

Mirrors reflect a stranger’s face,<\/span><\/p>\n

In this race, I’ve lost my place<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Therapist’s office, paredes so bare,<\/span><\/p>\n

Sitting en la silla, feeling the care,<\/span><\/p>\n

“Tell me,” she says, “what troubles your mind?”<\/span><\/p>\n

Words so gentle, voice so kind<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“I’m not crazy,” con fuerza I plead,<\/span><\/p>\n

“Just lost, with an insatiable need<\/span><\/p>\n

To feel normal, to join the fray,<\/span><\/p>\n

Cada interacci\u00f3n, it\u2019s more than I can stand<\/span><\/p>\n

Laughing, talking, they seem so free,<\/span><\/p>\n

“Why can’t that be me? Why can’t that be me?”<\/span><\/p>\n

Las tareas diarias, like climbing a mount,<\/span><\/p>\n

Up a slippery slope, each effort to count<\/span><\/p>\n

Simple joys, I no longer savor,<\/span><\/p>\n

Lost the taste, lost the flavor<\/span><\/p>\n

In the quiet moments, mi destino I ponder,<\/span><\/p>\n

Is it too late? On this thought I wander<\/span><\/p>\n

While I’m stuck in the troubled past<\/span><\/p>\n

Amigos say, “It gets better, you’ll see,”<\/span><\/p>\n

But these chains, they won’t leave me be<\/span><\/p>\n

A prisoner in my own mind,<\/span><\/p>\n

Solace, a thing I cannot find<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

La noche arrives, a veil so serene,<\/span><\/p>\n

For in dreams, I escape the scene<\/span><\/p>\n

But morning’s light, a relentless foe,<\/span><\/p>\n

Brings me back to the show<\/span><\/p>\n

So, I wear the mask, step into the light,<\/span><\/p>\n

But beneath the surface, the turmoil churns,<\/span><\/p>\n

For peace, for release, my spirit yearns<\/span><\/p>\n

Therapist’s words, a distant balm,<\/span><\/p>\n

In the storm, a fleeting calm<\/span><\/p>\n

“You’re not crazy,” she repeats,<\/span><\/p>\n

But in this maze, I face defeat<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The struggle, silent, known to few,<\/span><\/p>\n

A battle in the morning, I am still blue<\/span><\/p>\n

Hope, a concept, thin and frail,<\/span><\/p>\n

On this journey, an endless trail<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Depression, un peso, heavy and cold,<\/span><\/p>\n

A quest for lo normal, a path to redeem,<\/span><\/p>\n

While inside, I silently scream<\/span><\/p>\n

In the dance of light and shadow,<\/span><\/p>\n

Through valleys deep and meadows shallow,<\/span><\/p>\n

The quest sigue, day by day,<\/span><\/p>\n

For a crack in the darkness, a new pathway<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But until then, camino sola,<\/span><\/p>\n

A spirit tired, down to the bone<\/span><\/p>\n

In the chorus of life, a silent plea,<\/span><\/p>\n

“For just one day, to be free”<\/span><\/p>\n
